After losing their husband, many sisters carry the weight of an entire household. Rather than handing out a monthly donation, the Sansthan builds them a permanent source of income.
Small units such as papad and pickles, snacks, tailoring, embroidery, incense sticks, lamps and prasad material are run by groups of sisters. Training, equipment and raw material come from the Sansthan.
What they make is purchased by our kitchens, stores and fairs, so selling is never a worry. The earnings go straight into each sister's own bank account.
